Q. What will be the difference between APA Style CENTRAL and the new Academic Writer

Academic Writer will be the new name for APA Style CENTRAL and the platform will offer three centers for teaching and learning effective writing—the Learning Center, the Reference Center (formerly known as the Research Center) and the Writing Center. The Publishing Center, dictionaries, and electronic reference books covering quantitative and qualitative research methods will be removed.

Don’t worry, there have been no changes to the accounts or papers created within the platform. Students will still access Academic Writer the same way APA Style CENTRAL was accessed (the link is available in all courses and via the Academic Success Center).

Once the transition occurs on January 7th, if you have any trouble accessing your account, please contact asc@ncu.edu, or contact APA’s Customer Engagement team directly at academicwriter@apa.org.
