Q. How do I access Grammarly, the automated grammar checker?
- Click "sign up" and enter your name, your NCU email (@email.ncu.edu; o365.ncu.edu), and password.
- You will be routed to the "Thank you for signing up. Please verify your email" page.
- You will receive an email from Grammarly, follow the steps provided to verify your account. (If you cannot locate the Grammarly email in your NCU email Inbox, please check your “Junk” and “Clutter” files.)
- To begin using your Grammarly account, sign in at http://www.grammarly.com/edu.

You may also access Grammarly on the Academic Success Center homepage. Click on the link for Self-Editing, Proofreading, and Grammarly. There you will see a section for Grammarly, as shown below. Follow the instructions provided to create an account.

On September 1, 2017, all NCU Grammarly accounts that are not associated with an NCU email address will be unregistered. In addition, any accounts that have not been used in the past 90 days (since June 1, 2017), will also be unregistered.
If you are already using an NCU email address for your Grammarly account, no action is needed. If you are currently using an email other than your NCU email, you must follow the steps above to register with an NCU email to continue using Grammarly.
If you have any issues, please email the Academic Success Center at firstname.lastname@example.org. In the email, provide your first name, last name, and NCU email. You will be sent a Grammarly invite to register.
