How do I go about publishing my dissertation in ProQuest Dissertations & Theses?

Once you defend your dissertation and the Registrar's Office receives the necessary paperwork, they will send you instructions on how to publish your dissertation in ProQuest Dissertations & Theses. These instructions detail how to set up a ProQuest ETD Administrator account and select your publishing and copyright options. Note that while National University requires doctoral graduates to publish their dissertation, it is up to you to decide if you would like to copyright it, or have a copy of it bound.

Upon submission of your electronic copy of your dissertation, NU will send your approval page for signatures to your committee chair, subject matter expert and academic reader. Once the Registrar has received the signed approval page from your committee chair, they will add your signed approval page to your dissertation manuscript and complete your dissertation package for submission to ProQuest.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact the office of the registrar by email, graduation@ncu.edu or phone, 928-541-7777 ext. 8081

If you have specific publishing and or copyright questions you may also contact the Author Relations Department at ProQuest by phone 800-521-0600 x77020. Choose option 2 and then option 1 to get to the dissertation teams. You may also contact them by email at disspub@proquest.com.
