Q. When using the Cite button in Roadrunner Search or EBSCOhost, the APA formatted citations are incorrect. Why is the format inaccurate?
When using the Cite feature available within Roadrunner Search and the EBSCOhost databases, please keep in mind that the citations are automatically machine-generated and are likely to contain errors.
The following note is displayed above the citation formats:
Review the instructions at EBSCO Support Site and make any necessary corrections before using. Pay special attention to personal names, capitalization, and dates. Always consult your library resources for the exact formatting and punctuation guidelines.
Database-generated citations should always be double checked using the APA Publication Manual, Sixth Edition.
