Q. Can you provide an example for the general format of APA research papers?


Three APA sample papers are included in the APA Publication Manual, Sixth Edition, on pages 41-59. These sample papers illustrate three kinds of manuscripts: one-experiment (Figure 2.1), two-experiment (Figure 2.2), and meta-analysis (Figure 2.3).

You may also click here to access these samples online via APA Style’s official website. Purdue University’s Online Writing Lab (OWL) also provides an APA Sample Paper.

Finally, you may access sample papers in the new APA Central tool. This online, interactive tool will help you better understand APA Style to write stronger papers. Sample papers are located on the Learn tab within APA Central.
