Answer

APA is silent about certain annotated topics—bibliographies, PowerPoint slides, dissertation formatting, outlines, etc.—because its primary purpose is to provide guidelines for writers submitting manuscripts to scholarly journals. Therefore, the Library strongly recommends checking your course syllabus for any specifications regarding your outline format. You may also contact your Professor for further clarification.
