Q. Why do I receive an unauthorized error message when trying to access the Library's databases?


In order to have full access to the Library's subscription databases, your student status must be categorized either as Active or Leave of Absence. A status of Inactive or Pending Grad will result in the unauthorized error message shown below.

You may contact the Library to verify student status. However, the Library is unable to change your status with the University. You will need to contact your Academic Advisor and/or the Registrar's Office to resolve the status issue. You may reach the registrar at 888-327-2877 x8081 or by email at Registrar@ncu.edu.

NCU Alumni will also see the below error message when trying to access the Databases page. However, alumni are provided access to the Alumni Databases page. For details see our Alumni Access FAQ.
