Q. What is PlumX Metrics in Roadrunner Search and EBSCOHost?
PlumX Metrics is a tool offered by EBSCOHost & Roadrunner Search. You may see the PlumX Metrics icon when you view your search results list in Roadrunner Search or EBSCOHost databases.
PlumX Metrics is a tool provided to display metrics, or performance data about a research article. Simply place your cursor over the PlumX icon to display a quick view of the metrics, as shown in the image below:
To see more information, click the see details link in the box. A page will open in a new tab or window that shows more detailed information about the metrics provided:
The available metrics for any given article will be different for each article depending on the article's readership and/or contribution to new scholarship in its particular field or discipline. For very recent publications, it is common to see fewer metrics, whereas publications that are several years old may have more performance activity.
