Q. How do I find dissertations by degree?
To search for dissertations by degree, go to the Library's A-Z Databases: Dissertations & Theses page, located under Research Resources on the blue menu bar.
On this page, you may choose to select the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses @ Northcentral University link to search only NCU dissertations. Or you may choose the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses link to search more than 1.7 million dissertations from universities around the globe.
By clicking either link you should be taken to the Advanced Search page (f you are not, then click Advanced Search to reach that screen).
From the Advanced Search page, type the degree in the search box and select the Degree field code from the drop down menu to the right of the search boxes.
For example, to search for dissertations from the Doctorate of Business Administration degree, type D.B.A. in the search box and select Degree from the field code drop down menu, as shown in the screen shot below:
You can add additional search terms to the other search boxes and use the field code AB Abstract to make your search more precise.
For further guidance searching dissertations, see the Dissertation Research FAQs. We also recommend the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Quick Tutorial Video.
