When I select the link to an article, I only get the abstract. How do I access the full text?

To locate full-text documents use the Full Text search limit, which is available in most databases. By checking this box you will ensure that all of your search results are completely full text, and available to read immediately. See the screen shots below that show this limit:

ProQuest:

ProQuest Advanced Search screen with the Full Text limit checked.

EBSCOhost:EBSCO screenshot with the Full Text box checked.

ScienceDirect:Science Direct screenshot with Subscribed sources selected under Source.

If you DO NOT check the Full Text limit box, or otherwise set this limit, then you will probably see articles in your search results that are not available in full text. Click the white Article Linker button to ensure that the full text of this article is not available in another Library database. If the Article Linker returns zero results, then you know this article is not available through the Library and you can submit an Interlibrary Loan request.
