Q. How do I access my course textbooks?
All required course textbooks are available electronically via your my.ncu.edu home page. To access the textbooks, you will first need to accept your new course and then return to the my.ncu.edu home page. From the left-hand menu, click the link for Bookshelf as shown below.
If you want to switch from electronic to print textbooks mid-course, you will need to either contact the publisher to inquire about print options, or go through a book vendor such as Amazon.com to purchase. Please note that this will not be arranged by the university and will be an additional out-of-pocket cost.
If you would like to opt out of electronic textbooks indefinitely, you should wait until the course is over and contact your Advisor to let them know. You will be sent an Opt Out form and will need to pay a $50 opt out fee. Then, all of your textbooks will be an additional out-of-pocket expense, and would need to be directly purchased by you.
NCU students are not required to purchase the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association 6th edition. The APA Manual will be mailed to all students within their second course. Additionally, you may opt to purchase an electronic version of the APA Manual for the Kindle only at:
