Q. How do I find articles on family systems theory?

Using a database thesaurus search is a good way to find articles on theories. Follow the steps below to locate articles on family systems theory:

1. From the Library's home page, select A-Z Databases

2. On the A-Z Databases page, select EBSCOHost

3. On the EBSCOHost home page, go to the Subjects menu on the blue banner at the top of the screen, and select PsycINFO Thesaurus (note that there are many other thesauri options for other subjects):

4. Type the name of the theory or subject. In this example, we typed: family systems. The default search is Term Begins With, but you can change this to Term Contains. Click Browse.

5. Results will display available subject headings in the Thesaurus. Select the term that is most closely aligned with your topic. In this example, select Family Systems Theory. Click Search

6. Results will display that have your selected subject term. Use the Full-Text, Scholarly/Peer Reviewed Journals and Publication Date limiter to refine your results.
