He has presented several Black history webinars for Northcentral University/National University. The subjects ranged from the evolution of the slave trade, slavery, race, free blacks, the American Revolution, and its legacies. In one series, the struggle for freedom and citizenship rights was illustrated by comparing the visions of Thomas Jefferson and Martin Luther King Jr. For 23 years as a history museum professional, Harvey Bakari valued answering questions from audiences following history presentations or during live interactive television broadcasts (Colonial Williamsburg’s, Electronic Field Trip) for social studies students across the nation.
