Writing with Purpose- 04/09/25

Answer

(Webinar) This session is an overview of how to write in an academic tone. Writing in an academic tone requires every sentence to have a purpose with paragraphs that are organized in a manner, so the reader becomes engaged in your topic. Writing is a skill, and like any other skill we develop in life, we must practice, practice, practice. During this session, we will discuss writing paragraphs, specifically using a technique, IDEA, that will help you remember to cover the essentials when writing. We will cover examples of paragraphs written in an academic tone and also identify areas of improvement for others. A template will be provided that can help you with this concept, and with time, you will find that it will become second nature.
