How do I clear the cache and cookies in my web browser?

Internet browsers maintain a local copy of websites and other related items on your disk or in memory to speed up the reloading of previously visited sites. However, allowing your cache to become too large may slow your computer down or prevent a website from loading the most up-to-date information.

If you are experiencing issues accessing a library database, we recommend clearing your web browser's cache and cookies and restarting it. Simply hold down the ctrl+shift+delete keys and release. If available, select cookies, cache, and temporary internet files to clear. Note that to retain saved passwords, you may need to uncheck that option before clearing your files.
