How do I search by DOI in order to locate a particular article?

If you would like to locate a particular article by DOI, you may use the DOI search function within the Library's Find a Resource tool. The DOI Search is located under the alphabetical browse section, as shown below. Simply enter the DOI into the box and press Search. Note that you will only retrieve results if this article is indexed in one of the Library Databases.

Alternatively, you may search for the full article citation by DOI using CrossRef's Metadata Search. This method should retrieve results regardless of whether or not the article is indexed in one of the Library's databases, Note, however, that you will not be able to link to the full text from CrossRef. Simply enter the DOI into the search box in the center of the screen and press enter on your keyboard, as shown below.

The results screen will provide a full citation to your article, as shown below.

You can also search on The DOI Foundation website (scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the DOI)

You may then search for the article in the Library by using a NavigatorSearch (formerly Roadrunner) title search to locate the full text. Please see the Finding Specific Articles FAQ for steps.
