How do I add the full-text article to a reference I already have saved in RefWorks?

To add a full-text article to an existing reference in RefWorks, follow the steps below:

  1. Find the full-text article in the Library and save it to your computer. For help finding a specific article, see our Library FAQ on Finding Specific Articles.
  2. Login to RefWorks and locate the reference for which you would like to add the full-text article. Click on the reference to display the details on the right-hand side of the screen.
  3. Click on the Edit icon shaped like a pencil, as shown below, to modify the reference.

  5. Under the Edit mode for the reference, scroll to the Attachments field and select Add an Attachment to upload a PDF or .doc from your computer. Click Save to finalize the document upload to the reference.RefWorks citation in Edit mode with Add an Attachment field highlighted 

     
  6. It may take a few moments to upload and analyze the file. Once your full-text has been uploaded, you will see the Read button and the first page of the article as shown below.
