How do I locate books and articles written by a particular author?

You can conduct an Author search in the Library by using NavigatorSearch (formerly Roadrunner). Click on the Advanced Search link just below the Submit button. On the Advanced Search screen type the author's name in any order and select the field AU Author. To make your search more effective add a keyword in the second search box related to the author's discipline or topic. See the example in the screenshot below: 




 

Also, in Roadrunner Search, you may click on the title of a resource to see the Detailed Record screen. From this page, you will see the author(s)'s name hyperlinked. Click on the author's hyperlinked name to run a search by author.

Additionally, you may do an author search in the Web of Knowledge database in order to retrieve a comprehensive list of the author's publications. Type the author's last name followed by the author's first initial into the second search box on the Web of Knowledge search screen, as shown below. 
 

 

You can also view author profile pages by selecting the Authors tab from the search page and typing the author's name in the search field as depicted in the image below:
