Does the Library provide electronic copies of the APA Publication Manual?

The Library is unable to provide electronic access to the APA Manual due to copyright restrictions.

However, the Academic Success Center provides access to Academic Writer, which provides over 150 sample references, as well as nearly 10 sample papers. It also incorporates all of the references and other content from the Publication Manual.

Within Academic Writer's Learning Center, each of the quick guides is associated with one or more sections from the Publication Manual. You can search or browse the quick guides to access Publication Manual content.

Use the Academic Success Center website to learn about coaching and access writing, statistics, editing, and APA Style resources.

For questions about academic coaching services, please contact the Academic Success Center via their Ask a Coach page. On this page, you can search their FAQs, ask a question, or chat live with a coach via ASC Chat.

Students with learning differences (who have opted out of electronic textbooks) may request a print copy of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. This must be approved by your Disability Services rep./advisor. Please contact the Disability Services Office at disabilitiesservices@ncu.edu for assistance.

The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th edition) is also available for purchase in electronic format from the following outlets:
