How do I find trade publications?

Trade publications are written for those who work in a specific industry and may include news, statistics, trends, and other information relevant to that industry. If you are looking for a particular trade publication by title, you can search for the publication name using Find a Resource.

You may locate a variety of trade publications in the Library’s Navigator Search, as well as some individual databases. Note that trade publications are not considered to be scholarly or peer reviewed, so it is important that you do NOT check the scholarly/peer-reviewed journals limiter when searching for these resources.

Navigator Search and EBSCO Databases:

Navigator allows you to filter the search results by source type from the filter options on the left side of the search results screen. Under Source Type, click on Show More and then select Trade Publications to limit your results to this type of resource.

ProQuest Databases:

ProQuest allows you to filter the search results by source type from the filter options on the left side of the search results screen. Under Source type, click on More and then select the checkbox under the Include column for Trade Journals.
