How do I create a permalink to an article in a database?

In some databases, the address (URL) in your browser bar will expire after your session ends. You'll need to create a permalink or stable link that you can bookmark or share with others.

Instructions for creating permalinks to articles in EBSCO, ProQuest, and JSTOR are below. If you need help with other databases, please contact us in chat or email us at refdesk@nu.edu.

Create links to articles in EBSCO & NavigatorSearch

  1. Creating permalinks to resources from NavigatorSearch and EBSCO databases is as simple as copying the URL from the browser address bar.

Create links to articles in ProQuest

  1. Open the article.
  2. Click on the Abstract/Details tab.

  3. Use the Document URL.

Create links to articles in JSTOR

  1. Open the document.
  2. Use the Remote Access URL to the left of the document.
