What is directory information?

Answer

Directory information is information contained in a student’s education record that would not be generally considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed. This includes a student's name, program of study, dates of attendance, course schedule and degree plan, degrees, certificates and awards granted including conferral date, honors and awards, current enrollment status (i.e., active/inactive, undergraduate year, and participation in activities officially recognized by NCU.) We are required to annually notify students in attendance of what constitutes directory information. This notice must also provide procedures by which students can restrict Northcentral from releasing his/her directory information.
